There was a children’s book that we used to read to our kids called, I Love You To The Moon and Back, where the parent and the child were in a competition to describe how huge their love was for one another. Parents desire that their child would really know that they would know that they would know…how much they are loved. Our Heavenly Father has the same heart towards you…He really wants you to know, not just with your head but with your heart as well…that He loves you…to the moon…and into eternity. Nothing can test our grip on our plans quite like a change in our plans! God will sudden shifts in schedules and expectations to reveal who is Lord of our plans. One of the best ways we can prepare to handle changing plans in a godly manner is to make sure we are abiding in the Lord. The closer we are to Him, the more we can discern His perspective and respond appropriately.
